"STEM for Girls" Project within the scope of ERASMUS+


 

“STEM PROJECT FOR GIRLS” WILL BE HELD WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF SİVAS UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

The "STEM for Girls" Project, prepared by Hitit University within the scope of ERASMUS+ Youth Program Project and entitled to be supported within the scope of 2020/R3 Erasmus+ Key Action 3 Youth Dialogue, will be carried out with the participation of Sivas University of Science and Technology.

The “STEM for Girls” project aims to direct girls to the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and to increase their success in these fields. The project for which 20,320,00 Euro grant was provided by the European Commission through the Turkish National Agency; It will be carried out in cooperation with SBTU, Sivas Provincial Directorate of National Education, Ankara Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, Çorum Provincial Directorate of National Education and OSTİM Research Development, Education Development and Solidarity Foundation.

Within the scope of the project, "Stem Summit for Girls" will be held in Çorum on 5-8 July 2021. At the Summit, which will continue for 3 days;

"STEM for Girls!" Opening Meeting – Introducing Erasmus+ ve Youth Pass,

‘Strong Women and Main Actors of the Future’ Interview

"See On Site" Factory Tours,

" Everything About STEM" Career Panel,

"You can do it, too!" workshop,

HÜBTUAM and Engineering Faculty Laboratory Visit

"The Passion for Technology and Science Knows no Barriers!" panel,

‘STEM for Girls!’ Evaluation and Closing Ceremony programs will be included.

 

In the project; High school senior female students who are interested in STEM fields will be trained by teachers and academics who have received undergraduate, graduate and doctoral education in STEM.
